We have now ceased recruitment for this trial as recruitment targets have been met.

GMRx2 seeks to determine the effectiveness of a new medication that combines three different blood pressure lowering medications into a single tablet to be taken once a day. The 3 medications are: telmisartan, amlodipine and indapamide. All three of these medications are already prescribed to lower blood pressure and are used either independently or with each other in dual combinations.

To be eligible to participate you must:

  • be aged 18 years old or older.
  • have mild to moderately high blood pressure.
  • be taking between 0 – 1 blood pressure lowering medications.
  • be able to attend Curtin University for 3 – 4 trial visits over a 2 month period.

During the trial participants will receive study drug, the use of a BP monitor and be reimbursed for travel costs.
